A Critic and a Chef | Crocker Art Museum
Update: We are so grateful for the Crocker, education team, docents, and Jasper for the most recent Critic and a Chef at the Crocker Art Museum. We really enjoyed our conversation with Houghton and Jasper on food, art, and culture. We hope to see more people come to our next food themed Thelmarama screening with Japser and the team behind Good Wilma’s Supper Club.
Delight in a behind-the-scenes look at local food and visual arts cultures as Jasper Nahid of Wilma’s Supper Club and our resident cinema club Thelmarama come together to discuss the overlaps and tangents between the culinary arts, the visual arts, and entertainment as part of creative and cultural placemaking in Sacramento.

Update: Thanks again for everyone for coming to our third screening with the Crocker Cinema Club. Ziru Mo and Olive Olsen did a fantastic job in facilitating their tea ceremony as our pre-screening programming. Thelma ended up choosing Bob Fosse’s All That Jazz!

Please come at 6 PM to enjoy a pre-screening tea ceremony presented by Taohua Tea. Ziru and Olive of Taohua will be hosting a gongfu (工夫茶) tea ceremony, which is a traditional and ritualistic way to serve tea in East Asia.
